This is the 10th issue of SLIT! ANIMAL. In this issue: Glita Supernova, the Animal issue covergirl is a glamorous and sassy Miss Piggy, Glita talks tales and inspirations with SLIT (p28). Scarlett Fistfillet is the centrefold, a fish caught hook line and sinker by the fishermen (p12 + 34). This fish theme is continued by poet Yvette Holt in a meditation on love witnessed by her goldfish (p55).

We go behind the photographic fantasy to meet Lady Penelope, acting as the oft accused predatory animal seducing Fanny (p6). Denise goes to the vet and gets all stitched up but pretty like, with pearls, and a hot vetenarian (p36). Meet Miss Blonde, the proud trainer of pony Strawberry who hankers to be adorned with bells, the tinkle ringing from her cheeks, hooves and tail (p46).

In Yau Ching's film Ho Yuk (p16) the first lesbian feature in Hong Kong, images of giraffe are spliced between the narrative, creating a metaphor for queer life in the city where lesbians are visible only to each other. Giraffes also appear in Sarah Sauce's lush tableau with giraffes kissing (p40).

Sista Moody talks about her desires for phallic women and big cats, and proposes that symbolic representations of people as animals may provide a new queered imaginary space for renegotiating race in bdsm powerplay (p52). Shout out for love, creativity and abundance. Goodnight and good luck.
